Garfield Campbell

Managing Partner

Garfield Campbell serves as co-founder and managing partner of Stanford G Hospitality Services, LLC., consulting firm. He is a seasoned hospitality executive with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, six sigma and hotel development. In a more recent role, he served as chief operating officer of a large Scottsdale based private equity firm, where he successfully transitioned the firm from a startup to a process driven conglomerate after facilitating the acquisition of a top 30 ranked hotel management company.  

With an abundance of national hotel leadership experience, Garfield has led teams in every region of the united states including Alaska. This unique understanding of market dynamics throughout the United States has enabled him to successfully open and operate select-service, full service, extended stay, economy, and premium upscale brands in primary, secondary, and tertiary markets.
 

Specifically, he has direct experience at the property and or regional leadership levels in driving revenues and improving operational efficiencies, in brands such as; Westin, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, Element, Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn & Suites, Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Spring Hill Suites, Residence Inn, Hilton, Hilton Garden, Wyndham Garden, Intercontinental, Embassy Suites, Marriott Resort and Independent Urban Convention Hotel.

During Garfield’s career as a hotel property executive, he has been able to grow annual group business by 23% over annual budget, RevPAR in newly built hotel to #1 in an established competitive set within 5 months’ time, while exceeding ramp up goals by 180 days. He has successfully repositioned select service and full-service hotels in tertiary markets by taking their respective STR RevPAR Index from below fair share to an excess of 8+ percentage points above fair market share (same comp set).

Bill Toole

SVP, Business Development

Bill Toole, a career hospitality leader with a well-rounded background in operations, sales and marketing, and revenue management, has built a career in our industry serving as general manager, vice president of sales and marketing, regional vice president and hotel consultant. His has passionately delivered on a full range of hospitality services, including revenue enhancing and marketing guidance to numerous satisfied clients over the years. As a sales professional his purpose is not to just drive business into our properties but to drive the right and most profitable revenue stream into our hotels. Bill has successfully performed property assessment, sales and marketing support, and general manager functions in varied markets throughout the United States. New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and  Texas are some of the notable states where he has assembled a portfolio of successful business cases.

Under Bill’s leadership, Stanford G brings to bear a wide range of successful sales, marketing and revenue generating strategies and tactics honed through years of experience in the industry. Bill’s innovative management philosophies and practices have proven to show immediate and positive results in a wide range of facilities and markets.

A Native of North Carolina, Bill currently bases in Raleigh, NC. Bill, however, is nationwide in scope and experience, his business retention skills, and commitment to his craft coupled with overall market knowledge adds exponential value to all Stanford G and its Clients.

Julian Harmon

SVP, Debt and Finance

Julian brings a broad spectrum of legal and banking experiences to the Group. For over 30 years, Julian successfully supervised or managed the legal, compliance and credit risk assessment activities of a variety of national and international banks operating in the U.S. He developed and implemented numerous policies governing lending risk assessment (including credit underwriting practices), lending compliance and credit documentation consistent with U.S. banking regulations. During his tenure in the banking industry Julian was responsible for the quarterly asset review and credit risk evaluation of loan portfolios in excess of $3.5 Billion consisting of major complex retail, hotel, and commercial and residential credit facilities with outstanding balances in excess of $40 Million. He established a robust quarterly loan loss reserving process consistent with regulatory accounting principles and the quarterly financial reporting obligations of these financial institutions to banking regulators.  

Julian has been involved in structuring, documenting and implementing an array of debt modifications, loan workouts, credit restructurings and asset liquidation strategies involving impaired syndicated and participating credit facilities. Julian was responsible for the asset liquidation and recovery of $2.5 Billion of troubled real-estate secured and business loans while at Mizuho Bank of Japan (formerly The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank). Julian has experienced numerous business cycles throughout his career. His ability to develop creative diagnostic tools and solutions during depressed business cycles has enabled him to mitigate credit losses and deliver successful outcomes in countless troubled debt facilities.

Lauren Ill

VP, Marketing and eCommerce

Lauren Ill is the VP, Marketing and eCommerce for Stanford G Hospitality Services. She brings 10 years of B2B and B2C sales, investor relations, marketing, communications, and branding experience, 8 of those years within the real estate industry.

 

Most recently, she led marketing for a $2.5B AUM global private equity firm and its nine subsidiaries. While there, she executed 20+ full-scale investment offering launches; led the public relations team in producing all press releases,  blog posts, and social posts, enhancing brand recognition and trust; produced all client facing events; designed the company's digital marketing strategy; and drove a complete rebranding of the firm, elevating its design aesthetic to more effectively target and appeal to their ultra-high-net-worth target demographic. Additionally, she created new offering launch, onboarding, and event planning processes to increase department and company-wide efficiencies, reducing time and costs. Lauren's expertise includes all areas of marketing strategy – branding, event production, sales enablement, process design, project management, public relations, content production, and digital marketing, including social media marketing (SMM) and management, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).

Betsy Baldwin

VP, Revenue Management

Betsy Baldwin has dedicated her career to the hospitality industry. With experience in revenue management, strategy development, and business transformation she is an invaluable member of the team. Throughout her career, she has successfully achieved revenue projections and RevPAR index goals, while building efficiencies across all property types and markets. Betsy’s responsibilities have included sales and revenue management, brand migrations, system implementations, and management transitions.

Most recently, Betsy served at the director level with one of the world’s largest, global hotel brands. In this role, she assisted franchised and managed properties across the United States and Puerto Rico with building efficiencies and exceeding revenue projections. Betsy was successful at rolling out new initiatives across all brands and leading revenue generation audits for international acquisitions. Her experience made her the subject matter expert for new property onboarding and revenue management service. She developed processes to fully review a hotel’s systems to ensure they were structured for optimal performance. This experience led to her involvement in the largest central reservation system migration in the industry. Betsy's broad skill set will assist all Stanford G Hospitality Services clients in uncovering market potential, improving overall revenue performance, and helping educate for continued growth and success.
